Funded Hours, Fees & Additional Charges – Parent Information
Our nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Funded Hours
Funded childcare hours are claimed in minimum 5-hour sessions:
- Morning session: 8:00am – 1:00pm
- Afternoon session: 1:00pm – 6:00pm
- Full day session: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Parents may claim funded hours across these sessions, including full-day attendance where eligible.
Applying for Funded Hours
When you apply for funded hours, your child can be placed on our waiting list.
- Administration fee: £30
- This fee is refunded as meal fee credit in the second month of your child’s attendance.
Meals
We provide nutritious, balanced meals during your child’s time at nursery.
- Meal charge: £2 per session
- If your child attends a session and requires a meal, the charge applies.
- Parents may provide their own packed lunch at no cost.
Packed lunches must be nut-free, nutritious, and non-reheatable.
Additional (Non-Funded) Hours
If you claim 15 funded hours per week but require additional hours:
- Extra hours are charged at £8 per hour
- Charges are calculated based on a minimum hourly rate
Early Opening Service
Early drop-off is available before funded hours begin:
- 7:30am start: £10
- 7:45am start: £5
Early opening hours are not covered by funded childcare.
Private (Non-Funded) Session Fees
For parents who do not use funded hours, private sessions are charged as follows:
- Morning session (8:00am – 1:00pm): £38
- Afternoon session (1:00pm – 6:00pm): £38
- Full day (8:00am – 6:00pm): £60
Early opening (optional):
- 7:30am: £10
- 7:45am: £5
Fob Entry System Deposit
All parents are required to pay a refundable deposit for our secure fob entry system.
- £10 per fob
- If more than one fob is required, the charge applies per fob
- The deposit is refunded in full when your child finishes nursery and the fob(s) are returned to the office
- This charge is payable in cash
